Where Appilot shines
Time to first run. If the bot you need already exists, you are automating in minutes. No hardware, no ADB, no cables, no laptop — genuinely the shortest path from wanting a thing to having it. Building the same flow yourself, however good the builder, takes an afternoon.
Somebody else maintains it. Apps change their UI constantly. When Instagram moves a button, an Appilot bot is their problem to fix, not yours. That is worth real money if you do not want to be in the automation-maintenance business.
Breadth on day one. Bots across a dozen platforms — following, commenting, DMs, story views, streaks, upvotes, scraping — covering most of what people actually want from social automation, without designing any of it.
Android. Same point as always: Android is the better-served platform for this work, and if that is where your accounts are, you are in the right place.
Where Icemoon shines
iOS. Appilot runs on real Android devices and emulators. There is no iPhone option. If the work has to happen on iOS, the comparison ends here.
Any app, not a catalogue. A store only covers what someone decided to build. Icemoon drives whatever is on the screen — a banking app, a game, a regional marketplace, an internal tool, something with four hundred users. If your target is not one of the eleven big platforms, nobody is going to publish a bot for it.
You own the flow. The flip side of somebody else maintaining it: when a bot breaks, you wait. When your own flow breaks, you open it and move the step. Neither model is free — one costs you waiting, the other costs you time. Which is worse depends on how much a stalled day costs you.
Logic beyond a bot's parameters. Conditions, variables, data lists, loops and HTTP calls out to your own endpoint. Ready-made bots expose settings; a builder exposes the actual control flow. "If this element exists, do X, otherwise post to my API and stop" is not a setting.

Does Appilot work with iPhone?
No. Appilot runs bots on real Android devices and emulators. iOS is not among the supported environments, so an iPhone workflow cannot be run there.
Does Icemoon have ready-made bots for Instagram or TikTok?
No, and that is deliberate. Icemoon gives you a builder rather than a catalogue: drag the actions onto a timeline, or hit Record and perform the task once on the phone to capture it as an editable flow. It costs more up front than clicking Run on a finished bot, and in exchange it works on apps nobody has published a bot for.
Can Icemoon automate the same platforms Appilot covers?
Yes — Icemoon drives whatever is on the iPhone's screen, so any app installed on the device can be automated, including all the major social platforms. The difference is that you build or record the flow instead of selecting a pre-built one.
Do I need to write code?
No. Flows are built visually or captured by recording your own taps, and the AI copilot can execute a task from a plain-English description. There is an HTTP step for talking to your own services, but nothing requires a programming language.
What happens when an app updates and the flow breaks?
You fix it, which takes minutes if the flow targets elements rather than screen coordinates. With a bot catalogue the vendor fixes it and you wait — sometimes that is faster, sometimes it is a lost week. It is a genuine trade-off rather than a point in anyone's favour.
